One year has passed since Dillon's battle against monsters who munch on livestock… but peace doesn't last long on these dusty plains. Dry breezes bear bad tidings, and the governor calls upon Dillon—the Red Flash—and his sidekick Russ, once more. The two heroes sense deadly combat ahead as they watch an ominous sunset, but with the brave excitement of youth, such gloomy thoughts are soon dispelled.
